Technical notes
Client component: useState holds the selected value in order to update the flag, the name and the code in the trigger tile. The real <select> is stretched over the whole trigger area through position:absolute;inset:0 and opacity:0, as in select-003 and select-011 — the click, the keyboard and the system list stay the browser's. The flag is an emoji character right inside the text of the option and the trigger, and no separate icon set is needed. The trigger is marked aria-hidden — the accessible name is carried by the select itself, whose option text includes the flag, the name and the code. The palette lives in --vibeui-select-012-*.
