Toast

Reply Toast

A new direct-message toast: the sender's avatar falls back to initials, a name, a single-line message and a real Reply button next to the close control.

What you can change

  • the sender through name and the copy through message
  • the avatar through avatarSrc — an empty or failing URL falls back to initials
  • the reply button caption through replyLabel

For developers

The install command lives in the “Component source” block below — a signed link that stays valid for 24 hours.

Technical notes

The component is self-contained: one file, no dependencies, its own palette in the local --vibeui-toast-015-* variables. Client-side: "use client". The avatar is an image from avatarSrc; if the prop is empty or the <img> fires onError, the circle quietly switches to initials taken from the first two words of name, so no separate dictionary of placeholders has to be maintained. The message text is clamped to a single line through text-overflow: ellipsis — a long letter is read in the thread, not in a notification. The "Reply" button is an ordinary button with a handler of its own rather than a field styled to look like an input. The theme comes from the surrounding color-scheme through light-dark(), while the background prop replaces only the card surface. The qualifier for the cross is exposed through the closeContext prop with a {name} placeholder.
