Technical notes

Client component: useState for the value; the track is painted with a fixed three-colour gradient — it is a map of the whole scale rather than a fill indicator, so its background does not depend on value. The zone is computed by thirds of the range and put into data-zone on the root, from where CSS switches the colour of the pill and of the thumb border through a single attribute. The palette lives in --vibeui-slider-012-*. The zone pill is mixed with its own zone-blend token rather than with white, so in a dark theme it darkens together with its surroundings. The theme comes from the surrounding color-scheme through light-dark(): the component has no surface of its own by default, it sits directly on the page background. The background prop turns on a surface of its own, and then the theme branch is computed from its lightness.
