Hero

Event Countdown Hero

An event hero: the event type, a headline, the date in a <time> element, the venue and four countdown tiles. The values come in as props and do not tick on the server.

What you can change

  • the kind, title, lede, place and seats copy
  • date and dateTime — the human and machine-readable forms of the date
  • the values and labels in the countdown array

Technical notes

A server component, one file, zero dependencies. The --vibeui-hero-014-* palette, a dark base with a warm accent and a radial glow in the corner. The date is marked up as a <time datetime>, so it is understood by more than a human. The countdown tiles are a <ul> with an aria-label, and the numbers are set in tabular-nums so that they do not jump as the value changes. The countdown is static: a live timer is a client layer, while the section has to stay cacheable with the page. From 56rem the text and the tiles stand in two columns through a container query.
