Hand-drawn
Hand-drawn Kbd
A keyboard shortcut in hand-drawn keys: each has an outline and a shadow stroke underneath, a '+' between them. Real <kbd> — for hints, docs and command palettes.
What you can change
- keys — the shortcut keys in order
- rough — neat or loose: tidy or sweeping handwriting
- boil — still, soft or lively: line jitter

Technical notes
One file, zero dependencies, "use client". Each key is a nested Key component with its own useSize: a rectPoints outline with radius 5 and a width-3 shadow stroke at the bottom. A muted '+' between keys. Outlines are drawn in pixels: the host is measured with ResizeObserver, perimeter points are shifted by deterministic noise (mulberry32 from seed, by default a hash of the label), segments are quadratic curves; three frames of one line differ by a small boil jitter. Frames are switched by CSS: @property --frame (integer) + @keyframes step-end 1.2s, each path is visible only on its frame (opacity via clamp(1 − (frame − i)²)). Hover shifts the seed — a fresh stroke. Neucha and Caveat fonts load via <link precedence> from Google Fonts (with system handwriting fallbacks). Palette --vibeui-sketch-014-* with light-dark, reduced motion disables boil.
