how lessons go

An hour after which you want to keep talking

No forty-minute lectures on the Present Perfect. The lesson is built so that you speak more than the teacher — and leave with homework you actually want to do.

A lesson — 60 minutes on Zoom

Five parts, and the longest is conversation. The teacher leads but doesn't solo.

  • 5 min warm-up
  • 10 min homework
  • 15 min new topic
  • 25 min conversation
  • 5 min wrap-up
A group lesson: the teacher and students on screengroup B1, Thursday, 19:30

70% of the lesson you're the one talking, not listening

Up to six people

Everyone speaks every lesson. Pairs change so you hear different voices.

Homework in the notebook

Record a voice message: three things that annoy you in the morning. In English, 40 seconds.

A native speaker once a week

Every fourth lesson is led by a native speaker — you get used to the speed and the accent.

  • Manchester
  • Valencia
  • Bologna

After the lesson you keep

  • The lesson recording for a week
  • Notes with the new words
  • A voice review of your homework

People it's not scary to make mistakes with

Native speakers run the conversation lessons, methodologists — the grammar. Each has their own accent: have a listen so it doesn't surprise you in class.

Came in with «London is the capital», six months later I was running a call with a client from Dublin and even got his joke about the weather.

Learned it for a trip. In Seville I ordered tapas, argued with a taxi driver and didn't get lost in the metro. Diego said my accent was «terrible, pero encantador».

Quit apps three times. Here the group holds you: miss a lesson — they ask where you were. Nine months on I'm reading Ferrante with a dictionary, but reading.

I didn't need the language, I needed confidence at interviews. Emma drilled me on behavioural questions until I stopped saying «umm». Got the offer.

Studied at 8:00 in the morning before work. Thought I wouldn't last. I did — because a group of seven people was waiting, not a bot.

Come and talk. Just talk

The trial lesson isn't a test or a sales pitch. Half an hour of conversation with a teacher to see whether the format and the group suit you.

  1. We'll talk for 30 minutes in the language — as much as you can manage
  2. We'll pin down your level more precisely than the test and pick a group
  3. We'll tell you what to expect in a month and in three

Questions

What people ask before the first lesson

Briefly about what worries people most. The rest — at the trial lesson.

Ask on Telegram
  • «From scratch» groups are made up only of beginners — everyone is on the same page of the notebook. For the first two weeks we speak in short phrases, and the teacher doesn't let anyone «drop out».

  • The recording and the notes arrive the same evening, homework can be handed in as a voice message. Missed more than two in a row — the teacher offers a short catch-up lesson for free.

  • Yes, at any time: if the group turned out too fast or too slow, the methodologist moves you within a week, and the money is recalculated.

  • Every fourth lesson is led by a native speaker on the week's topic. They speak at their own pace, and you get used to a live accent rather than a newsreader's.

  • Monthly by card, the receipt comes by email. Unused lessons are refunded in full — no explanations needed, within three working days.
